        • APECA, Inc.
          The Association Promoting Education and Conservation of the Amazon is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of the Peruvian Amazon rain forest, its native peoples and their cultures. Founded in 1993, APECA began as a floating health clinic, delivering medical services to the remote Amazon river villages of Loreto, Peru. Since then, APECA has established programs in health education, nutrition, sanitation and natural medicine.

        • Cabeceras Aid Project
          Assists recently contacted, isolated indigenous groups of the Amazon Basin during their first years of contact with the outside world. Presently, Cabeceras Aid Project is focusing its activities on the indigenous groups of southeastern Peru. The greatest threats to the survival of these groups are introduced disease and economic exploitation by outside forces. By providing basic yet life-saving medical care, simple yet effective health education and focused political advocacy, Cabeceras Aid Project hopes to help maintain both the physical and cultural survival of these isolated groups.

          A non-profit organization founded in 1972 to defend the human rights and cultural autonomy of indigenous peoples and oppressed ethnic minorities.

        • CEIBA
          A 501(c)(3) non-profit whose mission is to promote the conservation of ecosystem integrity and biodiversity in the American tropics. We currently are working to establish a locally-run orchid reserve in Ecuador and offer tropical ecology field courses to U.S. college students.

        • World Rainforest Movement
